Aircraft Maintenance Professionals (AMP) is an independent union created to advance the class or craft, pay, benefits, work rules, job security, health, safety, and knowledge of FedEx Aircraft Mechanics.
The biggest obstacle which has prevented FedEx Aircraft, Facility, Sort, and Vehicle Mechanics from unionizing over the past 30 years has been; our uniquely broad National Mediation Board (NMB) “Class or Craft”. So, the first and foremost objective of AMP is to secure more favorable and independent classes or crafts for all FedEx Mechanics.
- FedEx Aircraft Mechanics should unionize nationally under NMB rules, just like UPS Aircraft Mechanics.
- FedEx Facility, Sort, and Vehicle Mechanics should unionize locally under National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) rules, just like UPS Facility, Sort, and Vehicle Mechanics.
